Most aluminium residential gates are less than 100kg so this sliding gate motor is ideal for simple installation by DIY people and tradesmen alike. As long as it is installed by a competent person it has a 3 year factory warranty.
This has 240v power input which steps down to 24vac. This means you can efficiently run the motor off a small transformer in a nearby building and not require expensive or hard work digging a 60cm deep trench. Simply bury the 4mm lighting cable along the edge of concrete or just below the surface and you are all safe and legal.
Having the 24vDC motor allows the option of back up batteries for any power supply cut and is recommended in properties that only have the main sliding gate as the entrance. Should a prolonged power supply issue occur then the motor has a safety clutch over ride lever to disengage the motor allowing the gate to be manually pulled open or closed.
